The following projects were awarded grants in May 2014
No.2848: The sum of €6,000 was approved for the construction of Latrines for St. Joseph’s Primary School, Nebbi, Uganda
No.2867: An application for a grant to provide safe drinking water for St. Anthony’s school, Tamil Nadu India was approved for the sum of €4,000.
No.2869: €7,500 was approved for the supply and installation of computers for St Jude’s Secondary School, Masaka, Uganda.
No.2872: The amount of €4,500 was approved for the digging and installation of a shallow well at Kisumo, Kenya for the Inka, Seito Women Group.
No.2876: An application from Bumara School Group, Ruhengeri, Rwanda for the installation of a solar energy system at the school was approved for the sum of €6,500.
No.2879: The Committee approved the sum of €1,900 for a new bore well and tap connection for an Orphanage Home at Trichy, Tamil Nadu for the Franciscan Sisters of St Thomas.
No.2880: The sum of €4,000 was approved for renovation of the children’s ward at Kigonsera, Health Centre , Mbinda, Tanzania.
No.2881: The Committee approved the sum of €5,300 for the purchase of Laboratory Equipment for St Joseph Health Centre, Jinja, Uganda.
No.2883: The amount of €6,000 was approved for the construction of Pit Latrines for Mt Carmel Girls Secondary School, Bungoma, Kenya.
No.2885: An application for a grant of €2,000 was approved for the installation of a water tank at Seerinya, Community School, Masaka, Uganda.
No.2887: An application from the little Sisters of St Francis of Assai, Nairobi, Kenya for a grant of €6,500 for a water reservoir at Mt. Laverna Nursery school, Kasarni, Kenya was approved.
No.2889: The Committee approved the sum of €3,500 for the construction of 80 desks at St Francis Primary School, Nyanonge, Kisumu, Kenya.
No.2891: An application from the Irish Nepalese Educational Trust for the sum of €8,000 towards the construction of a primary school at Kampur Nepal was approved.
No.2899: The Committee approved the sum of €5,000 for the support services for transport and distribution of food aid in East Poket, Kenya.
